With the 2017 accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the Emergency Nurse Practitioner – Certified (ENP-C) designation, ENP’s became one of the now three recognized subspecialties granted by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
ENP is now one of the three certifications administered by the prestigious AANP and startup ENP programs want to maintain the high standards of the organization.

Drexel University, a a private research university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, maintains a stellar reputation in healthcare teaching and research.
Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions ranked #2 in the country in 2017. Recently, Drexel added an ENP program to their offerings.
Dr. Theresa Campo, DNP, in charge of the program launch, was looking for teaching and assessment tools for Drexel’s new ENP program, to support students that would be taking the ENP certification exam at the end of the program.
Drexel wanted their startup ENP Post-Master’s certificate program to have a 100% matriculation rate, and a 100% certification rate for their graduates.

Robert Anderson, CEO of Med-Challenger, said, “Med-Challenger has a long history and relationship with the acute care professions, and our belief is that the ENP-C is a needed and critical certification. We began working on ENP training well before the AAENP finalized the certification requirements.”
Drexel put Med-Challenger ENP teaching content and student management to work in its 2018 cohort, a small number of students, but a standard-setting program.
After utilizing the Med-Challenger platform for a year, the students stated it proved very useful in preparing them for the certification exam.
The ENP candidate pass rate was 100%.
